What we collect, why, and on what basis
Contact form
When you send a message through the form, we collect your name, email address, subject and message.
- Purpose: to read and reply to your message.
- Lawful basis: legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or steps prior to entering a contract where the message concerns possible collaboration (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and (b)).
- Retention: [CONFIRM: e.g. 24 months after the last correspondence]. This is not a formality — whatever period is stated has to actually be applied to the mailbox.
Messages are delivered using Mailjet, operated by Sinch, based in France.
Visit statistics
We use Umami, an analytics tool hosted on our own servers in the European Union. Umami uses no cookies and builds no individual profiles.
It records, in aggregate: the page visited, where the visit came from, device and browser type, and country.
- Purpose: to understand which content is useful to visitors.
- Lawful basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Server logs
The server hosting this site automatically records incoming requests, including the IP address.
- Purpose: security, abuse detection and fault diagnosis.
- Lawful basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Cookies and local storage
This site uses one cookie: NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers your chosen language so you do not have to select it on every visit.
It is strictly functional. It is not used for advertising, does not identify you, and does not track you across other sites. For that reason no consent is requested, under Article 5 of Portuguese Law 41/2004.
We use no advertising, social media or third-party cookies.
